EgnazSchwinn who lived until 1948 founded he Schwinn bicycle company. Igna was born in Germany but moved to Chicago searching for a better life.
Schwinn became the main player in the American bicycle industry for most of the 20th century.
Over that time they produced legendary bikes such as the ‘Corvette’, the ‘Schwinn Twinn’ and the ‘Sting-Ray’.
Interesting fact…through a series of unfortunate events, the Schwinn Bicycle Company went bankrupt. The eventual company was brought by Nautilus, Inc.
